In year 4 we have been growing runnerbeans, cress, strawberrys, lettuce and tomatoes. The plants i have planted are runnerbeans, some peas and tomatoes. My runner bean has grown 48cm so far. The tallest plant is Thomas’s plant, he has planted a runnerbean which has grown 54cm. we put some big sticks next to tht plant to make them stand up, because we dont want them falling over!
Year 4 had a great day today in Keddington. The children were able to explore the different crops that were growing. They looked at the journey our food takes from the farm to our forks and were able to plant their own fruit or vegetable. They explored a tractor and a combine and eventually made their own healthy pizza. What a super trip!
Last Saturday I had my grading and I achieved my brown belt. I am really pleased. I am now two belts away from my black belt.
Children in Year 4 have been busy this afternoon hunting for habitats around our school grounds. They have already impressed me with what they already know and we have decided on lots of questions to investigate.
Children in Year 4 have been very busy using a variety of equipment to hunt for different angles around the school. They were looking for right angles and acute and obtuse angles. We found lots of different angles.
The children in Year 4 have worked really hard on their DT project this term which was to make an Egyptian God mask. This has involved careful research and planning to begin with. The children then needed to use a variety of skills to get the final product. I think they have done a brilliant job!
What do you think?
Well done to Years 3 and 4 who did a fantastic job with their performance today! They all did brilliantly! Also a big thank you to everybody who came to show their support and encouragement.
Can you tell me something about Albert Einstein?
What an amazing day the children and staff of Grimoldby have had today with James Boffin from the secret Science agency! Lots of wow factor Science experiments finishing with the children making their own ice cream using dry ice.
Which was your favourite part of the day?
